W.G. (Bill) Roberts (M 58-62).
Gilbert Roberts has sent the following:
“I write to let you know about the death of my father Dr W.G. 'Bill' Roberts, who taught at St Bees School from 1958-1962.
Some older members and ex-pupils may remember him from that time. I believe he may be remembered for leading boys up Pillar Rock and other adventurous exploits. They might also recall he was taken very ill whilst there; or, that after recovering, he left St Bees to teach in Tasmania. I know that he was proud to have worked at the school and I hope that people have fond memories of him.”
